San Diego Meal Prep FAQs

No. Every meal arrives fully cooked, gluten-free and ready to heat and eat. You can also eat it cold. See how our meal prep delivery works.

It takes four steps:

1. Order online. Choose from the Signature Menu, Build Your Own meals (Small, Large or Custom portions) or Bulk Ordering.
2. We deliver to you on Sunday or Wednesday, or you pick up for free.
3. Enjoy your meals. Heat them up or eat them cold.
4. Feel the difference of eating clean all week.

For Sunday delivery, order by Friday at 11:59 pm. For Wednesday delivery or pickup, order by Monday at 11:59 pm. Full details are on Delivery Options.

There is no minimum. If you only want 1 meal, that’s fine.

There is no maximum. Order as many meals as you want, and customize each one with a Build Your Own Custom Meal to get as much or as little of each ingredient as you like. If you want a lot of one ingredient, use Bulk Ordering.

Yes. It’s what we specialize in. Use Build Your Own (Small, Large or Custom portions) to customize every portion to your taste or your current meal plan:

• Build Your Own Custom Meal

Small and Large use set portion sizes for each ingredient you choose. Custom lets you order each ingredient in exactly the quantity you want, which is ideal if you’re tracking macros. Nutrition facts for each option are on the Small, Large and Custom nutrition pages.

Yes. If you have a special meal plan or macro goals, build your own meals so you get exactly what you want. If you need full control, build a Custom Portion meal and order each ingredient in the exact amount you need. The per-unit numbers are on our Custom Portion nutrition information page.

Basic macros for every Signature Meal appear on its tile on the Signature Menu and on the meal’s own page. The full Nutrition Facts label is under the Nutrition Facts tab below the meal photo. Labels for all build-your-own ingredients are here:

Yes. Every meal type, frequency and style can be set up as a weekly subscription, so you never have to remember to order. You’ll save up to 15% off regular prices. See Subscribe & Save.

The discount applies automatically based on your weekly order total:

• $90+: 5% off
• $120+: 10% off
• $180+: 15% off

Your subscription renews every week on the same day and at the same time as your original order. Your card is charged automatically, and you get an email receipt and the usual order notifications each week.

Yes. You can add, update or remove items at any time from the Subscriptions tab in My Account. To add a meal to an existing subscription, check the Add to existing subscription box when you order. You can also pause your whole subscription from your account page.

You can cancel any time before your subscription renews (7 days after the day and time of your original order) from the Subscriptions tab in My Account.

If it renews before you cancel, you can still ask for a refund before that order’s cutoff:

• Sunday delivery: before Friday at midnight
• Wednesday delivery or pickup: before Monday at midnight

We deliver twice a week:

• Sunday: 12 pm to 9 pm
• Wednesday: 12 pm to 7 pm

Delivery starts at $10. Your exact fee depends on your ZIP code. Check yours on Delivery Options.

No. Our drivers text you updates, so you don’t have to be home. We do need access to your front door, and all meals must be in the refrigerator by 10 pm on delivery day.

Yes. Pickup is free at our partner gyms around San Diego and at the Meal Prep On Demand van at 1013 Morena Blvd. See Delivery Options for current locations, days and pickup hours.

Keep them. The cooler bags and ice packs are reusable. On the morning of your next delivery, leave your thawed ice pack and cooler bag outside and we’ll collect them.

We are a fully gluten-free meal prep company. We don’t offer an organic menu, but we always pick the best ingredients at peak freshness. Sometimes that means organic, and our guarantee is that everything is fresh and all natural. All of our meats are hormone-free and antibiotic-free, and we never use preservatives.

Here’s what to know:

• All menu items are 100% gluten-free.
• We never use pork, shellfish or mushrooms.
• Everything is dairy-free except the Greek Salad (feta served on the side in its own ramekin) and our Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
• Some items contain soy from our gluten-free, reduced-sodium soy and teriyaki sauces. Allergens are listed at the bottom of each Nutrition Facts label.

We use only fresh ingredients and cook everything from scratch. We make our marinades, sauces and seasonings from fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. We cook everything in 100% extra virgin olive oil and never fry anything. We add no salt, no sugar and no flour of any kind.

We use wild-caught cod loins, farmed tilapia fillets, and farmed fresh Alaskan or Canadian salmon (skin off and deboned).

For the best freshness, eat your meals within 5 days of the prepared date printed on each meal. Keep them refrigerated at 40°F or below.

Yes. If you won’t eat a meal within 5 days, freeze it. Frozen meals keep for up to 10 days. To prevent freezer burn, remove the lid, wrap the container in plastic wrap and put the lid back on. Once a meal is thawed, eat it right away and don’t refreeze it.

Every meal is fully cooked, so you can heat it up or eat it cold. It’s great either way. See how it works for more.

Every delivery is packed in a cooler bag with industrial-grade ice packs that keep your food fresh until 10 pm on delivery day. Please refrigerate your meals by then.

Yes. With Bulk Ordering, you can order as much of any individual ingredient as you want. We’ll cook your protein, carbs, veggies or sauces exactly as they come in our meals and package each ingredient separately so you can use them however you like.

Everything on our bulk menu comes fully cooked, including:

• Breakfast: quiches, chia pudding, muffins and shots
• Proteins: poultry, beef and fish
• Carbs: rice, potatoes, quinoa and yams
• Sides: vegetables and plant-based options
• Sauces
• Joosies cold-pressed juices

Yes, per item:

• Proteins: 8 oz
• Carbs: 2 cups
• Vegetables: 2 to 2.5 cups
• Sauces: 2 units
• Specialty items (quiches, juices): 2 to 4 units

Yes. Bulk items can be added to a weekly subscription and get Subscribe & Save pricing.

Meal Prep On Demand is our fleet of mobile grab-and-go meal prep trucks. There’s no need to pre-order online: walk up, choose from a curated selection of our meals, then heat and eat. The meals are the same as always: gluten-free, low-sodium, no added sugar or salt, cooked only in olive oil, and made from fresh whole-food ingredients.

Yes. Joosies are delivered with your meals. Add them from the Joosies page or through Bulk Ordering.

You can ask for a refund on any order before its cutoff:

• Sunday delivery: before Friday at midnight
• Wednesday delivery or pickup: before Monday at midnight

When you refer a friend, you both get $25 off an order of $100 or more. Here’s how:
