Do I have to cook the meals myself?

Absolutely not! All of our gluten-free, delicious, healthy and nutritious meals come ready to heat and eat.

Can I personalize my meals?

Yes, Yes, and Yes! This is what we specialize in. Utilize the build your own feature (Large, Small, or Custom portions available) and customize any and all of your portions to your desire or to match your current meal plan.

I have a specialized diet plan (Paleo, Keto, low-carb, no-carb) or I have specific macro goals. Are your meals right for me?

If you have a special meal plan or macronutrient goals, we suggest you build your own meals so you can get exactly what you’re looking for. We also have complete nutrition information for our Signature Menu, Small Portion build-your-own, Large Portion build-your-own meals here:

Where do you deliver to?

All ZIP codes within San Diego County, from the 905 to the 78 freeways, as far East as Santee / El Cajon. To check whether your ZIP code is in our delivery zone, and what your delivery charges will be, check out our Delivery Options page.

How much is delivery?

We offer one or two delivery days per week, Wednesday and or Sunday. Your delivery fee is based on your ZIP code. To see how much the delivery fee is for your ZIP code, check out our Delivery Options page.

How long will my food stay fresh?

For optimal freshness consume meals within 5 days from prepared date noted on each meal. Keep meals in the refrigerator at a holding temperature of 40 degrees or below. If you are not planning to eat your meals within 7 days we recommend freezing them, frozen meals can be kept for 10 days. For best results, remove lid, wrap in plastic wrap, and put lid back on to prevent freezer burn. Meals must be eaten immediately after being defrosted (after thawing meals do not refreeze).

What is the minimum order size?

There is none! If you want just 1 meal, that is okay.

What is the maximum order size?

There is none! You can order as many meals as you want, and you can customize each meal (Build Your Own Custom Meal) to have as much or as little of each ingredient as you want. You can even order individual ingredients using our Bulk Ordering option if you just want a lot of one ingredient.

What if I just want to order a single ingredient, not a whole meal?

No problem! With our Bulk Ordering option, you can order as much of any individual ingredient as you want. Want us to take care of cooking your protein, carbs, or veggies but don’t want a full meal? Can’t get enough of our sauces? We can provide delicious, fully cooked bulk portions of our ingredients, just as they would come in our meals. Order as much as you want, and we’ll package each ingredient separately so you can use them in a way that works for you.

Are the meals gluten Free, organic, hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and preservative-free?

We are a fully gluten-free meal prep company. We do not offer an organic menu; however, when shopping for supplies, we always pick the best ingredients that are at peak freshness. There are times we source organic but our number one guarantee is that it’ll always be fresh and all natural. All of our meats are hormone- and antibiotic-free. We never use preservatives.

I have food allergies. What should I be aware of?

All of our menu items are 100% gluten free. All our menu items are dairy free except for the Greek Salad, which has an optional side of feta cheese. Each meal and ingredient may contain specific allergens, such as soy. For complete information, see our nutrition information pages:

You say you're the healthiest. What does that mean?

We only use fresh ingredients and cook absolutely everything from scratch. Fresh fruits, veggies, herbs, and spices are how we create our marinades, custom sauces, and seasonings. We cook everything with 100% extra virgin olive oil and serve nothing fried ever. No salt added, no sugar added, and no flour of any kind.

Where can I find nutrition information for your meals and ingredients?

Basic macros for all our Signature Meals are located in the Signature Menu page on the tile for the meal, as well as right on the meal page itself. Nutrition Facts labels are available for all Signature Meals on the meal page in the “Nutrition Facts” tab below the meal photo.

Do all meal plans have the subscription service available?

Yes, they do. No matter what meal type, frequency, or style you may get your meals in a weekly subscription so that you don’t have to remember to order. Plus, you’ll save up to 15% off the normal price of the meals when you subscribe!

What type of fish do you use?

We use cod loins, tilapia filets, and fresh Alaskan or Canadian salmon (skin off and de-boned).

What discounts do you offer?

We offer many discounts!

How do I get $25 off for referring a friend?

It’s easy! When you refer a friend to The Lean Machine, both you and your friend get coupons for $25 off your first order of $100 or more.

If you haven’t created an account yet, do that first.

  1. Go to your My Account page and look for your unique referral link (Hint: it should be highlighted in green right on your Dashboard!)
  2. Give that link to the person you want to refer.
  3. If your friend creates an account and makes a purchase within 30 days, you’ll receive an email with a coupon code good for $25 off your next order of $100 or more.
  4. Repeat with as many friends, family, or random people on the street as you want. You get a $25 coupon for each person you refer, no limits!


What is the Subscription cancellation policy?

Subscription orders can be canceled at any time before the subscription renews 7 days from the day and time of your original order from your account page under subscription tab. If your subscription renews before you can cancel, you can request the order be refunded before the order cuttoff time corresponding to your orders delivery/pickup day. For instance if your subscription order is set for Sunday delivery you can request a refund anytime before Friday at midnight or if your order is for Wednesday delivery or pickup you can request a refund anytime  before Monday at midnight by texting 619-381-5468 or by email to

You can request any order to be refunded anytime before the order cuttoff time corresponding to your orders delivery/pickup day.
